Our Team

Randal Golden, Managing Director
Randal has sixteen years of industry experience.  He worked as a Managing Director at Mesirow Financial from 1999 to 2005.  He previously worked as an assistant vice president at Everen Securities, now Wachovia.  He is presently responsible for managing in excess of $150 Million.

Randal is a graduate of University of Illinois.  He received CPWAsm (Chartered Private Wealth Advisor) Certification April 2008.  He is currently living in Deerfield, Illinois with his wife and two children.

Main focus:  Wealth management and absolute return-strategies that center on capital preservation.  Knowledgeable in investment fields including fixed-income, equities, hedged products, Private Equity, Fund of Funds and Real Estate.

David Sternberg, Partner
David has over 27 years of financial market experience.  He co-founded and launched the Iron Equity Fund in September of 1999.  He managed an Absolute Return Fund of Funds with assets over $250 million for nine years.  He successfully backed and trained numerous traders employing hedging strategies on the CBOT and CBOE from 1984 to 1996.  He has a history of analyzing and understanding hedging strategies.  He has a B.A. in Business Administration from University of Iowa.

Main focus:  Absolute return strategies

Stacie Zapfel, Solutions Manager
Stacie has been involved in the financial services for the past seven years, specializing in wealth management.  Stacie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Eastern Illinois University.  Additionally, her credentials also include Series 7, 6, and 63 Securities Licenses.  Stacie resides in Naperville, Illinois with her husband and two children.

Colleen Scibor, Client Relationship Manager
Colleen has 5 years experience in the financial industry. Previous to joining FGMK Preservation Capital Partners, she worked in Client Services for Iron Partners, a Fund of Funds. Colleen graduated from Western Michigan University with a BA in Advertising and Marketing. She currently lives in Bucktown.
